Actually, I thought the whole "moderate republcans place an unplanned (cough, cough) visit to the President" show was just for political cover for those poor elected officals. They need to be able to tell the folks back home that they told off the President on the wildly unpopular war....while still voting to extend the funding. Will it play in Peoria? We'll see.
