My first post. Please excuse me if there is protocol and I am not yet familiar with it. I'm a new stock picker and I only own cpq. If, as TechM says, the quarter is, say .74, and if cpq has shown 28% and 32% eps growth from the 3rd to the 4th quarters the last two years, (36-46 and 50-66), then a 30% growth rate this time would mean 96 rather than the first call consensus of 82. the year would be 54,59,74,96 =2.83. At the end of the last 2 years, the PEGs that were supported were .76 and .71. With a .7, stock price is 103; with a .72, it's 105; with .73, it's 107 at year's end.
I would appreciate any comments on these numbers. Thank you in advance for being patient. I barely knew what a PE was a few months ago. |
