As a guy who rehabs old houses, some of the stuff you find on the market here is intriguing. they must be careless. on the TV show any work inside the homes is done only by "insiders". i like the way they portray serious and funny issues mixed together. they haven't gotten into the really kooky stuff, though--like how having multiple wives is supposed to make it easier for you to enter the "Celestial Kingdom".
