I mean... if they become busily engaged FIGHTING EACH OTHER for the next generation or so, and we are no longer encamped on their soil occupying their lands, or futilely attempting to keep the partisans of their many-sided civil war apart....

Why wouldn't that benefit us?


I'd encourage you to think it through. If the Mid East falls into a regional conflict, even if at a relatively low level, what will it do to the rest of the world?

Furthermore, I doubt that such a conflict would remain contained in that region. Think of the impacts on Indonesia, the Philipines, and other states and nations with large muslim populations.

Think it through.
