Aw, shucks . . . here's an interesting new PEGging technology from Germany's Complex Biosystems. Seems to be sort of an encapsulation technology that just happens to use PEG, but whatever; they can PEG smaller peptides than competitors, and that's a major advantage, as is not having to figure which point of attachment on the molecule is best. They can apparently tailor a huge range of half-lives with their various linkers. The CEO founded Graffinity, and did a stint at Affymax: complex-biosystems.com Going at diabetes, too, but not yet in the clinic, and perhaps positioned differently from Exubera. They have partners, but haven't disclosed who they are. Maybe NKTR should munch 'em while they're cheap. Cheers, Tuck
