Digital cable-modem standards are set. Look for Zenith cable-modem contracts to be announced soon:

CMP Media Inc: "Cable-Modem Spec Gains Ground. A group of major OEMs has decided to build cable-modem equipment using the cable-modem specification called Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (DOCSIS), also known as MCNS (Multimedia Cable Network System Partners)

Cisco Systems Inc., Hayes Microcomputer Products, Samsung Electronics
Co. Ltd., and Thomson Consumer Electronics in recent weeks have
announced backing for the spec.

Cable modems can offer Internet connections at speeds of up to 10
Mbits/s, connecting home users via existing cable-TV lines. Earlier MCNS supporters include Bay Networks, Hewlett-Packard Co., Toshiba Corp., and Zenith Electronics Corp."
