Perhaps mass action can save the day. Everyone should buy stock in one media owning company and propose in the stockholder's meetings that the biased media reports end and keep proposing it until something is done. The stock price would skyrocket as viewership climbed in response to their serving more than the leftmost sliver of viewers. It might even alter the trend towards viewers ignoring network TV.
