Paul, you said you are learning. I did not notice this. Did you learn the meaning of the term "synthetic benchmark" and how this sort of benchmarks is related to reality? Learn this first and then open your mouth, but be careful about the smell you are spreading over this thread.

I can give you an example. The Pentium MMX calculates SQRT (square root, for clarity) from a floating number in 60 internal clocks. K6 does the same in 5 clocks. Can we conclude that the FPU performance of K6 is 12X better than Pentium? Go figure.
