It's mute as long as you aren't the one involved in the accident.

My wife was broad sided in her SUV and the impact actually lifted it off the ground. She had no injuries, just a headache.

The smaller car that drilled her had the driver in the hospital for several weeks.

The SUV was repairable, the smaller vehicle totalled.

You'll have a hard time convincing me that driving a larger vehicle for safety concerns is mute.
