My wife was broad sided in her SUV and the impact actually lifted it off the ground. She had no injuries, just a headache. The smaller car that drilled her had the driver in the hospital for several weeks. The SUV was repairable, the smaller vehicle totalled. You'll have a hard time convincing me that driving a larger vehicle for safety concerns is mute.
