I expected Ian to go. And he went.

By Joe Reality on Dancing with the Stars
For the eighth Dancing with the Stars results show, judge Len Goodman said "I've got to say last night was the best semi-final I have ever seen here or in the U.K. It was brilliant." Even though everyone excelled during the semi-finals, the judges ultimately selected Joey Fatone & Kym Johnson to perform an encore of their Jive.
Special guest star Enrique Igelsias performed his hit, "Hero," alongside professional dancers Louis Van Amstel, Karina Smirnoff, Alec Mazo and Edyta Sliwinska. Hosts Tom Bergeron and Samantha Harris revealed that Joey Fatone & Kym Johnson were the first couple moving forward to the finals. Flamenco dancer Joaquin Cortes performed a special routine.
Late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and his parking lot security guard, Guillermo, introduced a segment where people from Jimmy's show danced. Enrique Igelsias returned to sing his latest single, "Do You Know," from his new album, "Insomniac." Hosts Tom Bergeron and Samantha Harris revealed that Laila Ali & Maksim Chmerkovskiy were the second couple moving forward to the finals.
The final two couples up for elimination were Ian Ziering & Cheryl Burke and Apollo Anton Ohno & Julianne Hough. Tom Bergeron revealed that the couple with the lowest score and leaving the competition was Ian Ziering & Cheryl Burke. When Tom Bergeron asked how it felt last night to get a perfect score, Ian said "It felt great. It was truly a victory for me to get three tens, and I never really expected to get this far. I've always hoped for the best and tried my best, but honestly if I hadn't been dancing with Cheryl, I don't think I would have even made it to the semi-finals." |
