That's why I don't believe in "peak oil" as most imagine it.

Peak oil is a concept without relevance or impact on energy prices.

The short-term rise in prices after March 2003, driven by the War in Iraq, is a blip on the way along the continuing decline in energy prices.

It has no more significance than the prior "peak oil" period of 1976 to 1983 - which was actually a temporary peak refinery problem similar to today.
