Now that eveyone's bullish, it is likely closer than most think. We are testing last spring's highs and frankly, the gas data is not that bullish, along with the weather. Cooler than normal temps across the midwest and the northeast this weekend and into next. Having said that, it can still run higher. I would have expected a correction much sooner, but what compelling factor will make us break out into new all time highs from here? What is unknown or has not been contemplated or priced into equities by now? I can't think of anything terribly new.

Copper is down and little know Peruvian mining stocks are down sharply on a slowdown of Chinese copper consumption. If this is not an aberration and Chinese consumption begins to slow down from its torrid pace, valuations will be adjusted quickly, IMO, including those in the E&P and OSX area and the lofty estimates for commodity prices may decline, further bringing down stocks through multiple compression on lower earnings, etc.

Until now there has been no evidence of this other than past history. When and how it ends is anyone's guess.
