There is a ton of difference between patients but there is also a difference with drugs. I had alot of tolerance for the chemo and my Dr raised the dose by 20%..............I never lost all my hair but it looked ridiculous so I wore a wig most of the time and cut the surviving strands. Sorry to hear about your wife. At least she went quickly and hopefully was spared months of pain. Stomach cancer has a reputation for being deadly in a quick and painful manner. Your wife's Dr's may have chosen not prolonged the illness by treating her with a placebo but I doubt it. It would have been illegal and against the oath's they take. It would also be impossible to hide in a hospital setting where many checks are in place to monitor chemo drugs. ALl drugs don't behave the same in every person that takes them. This is why it's impossible to observe all side effects of drugs until they get out into the public domain..........a clinical trial with thousands of patients would make drugs cost 10 x what they now cost. Again, sorry about your wife........most of us has lost a person special to us from the dreaded disease.
