Sonus Networks Gets 4th Nasdaq Noncompliance Notice for Delays in Filing Financial Reports

WESTFORD, Mass. (AP) -- Internet telephony equipment and software maker Sonus Networks Inc. said Thursday it received an expected notice of noncompliance from the Nasdaq Stock Market, as it hasn't filed its quarterly financial report.
The notice, which Sonus said it received on May 14, noted the company has not filed a required report with the Securities and Exchange Commission for the quarter that ended March 31.

This is the fourth noncompliance notice Sonus has gotten since August, the company said, as it delayed filing reports for quarters ending June 30 and Sept. 30, as well as for the year that ended Dec. 31. The delays were due to an internal investigation into the company's stock option grant dating practices.

The company said the Nasdaq listing and hearing review council has given Sonus until June 26 to file restated and delayed financial reports.

Sonus shares lost 10 cents to finish trading at $7.95. The stock picked up 4 cents to $7.99 in after-hours trading.
