So sorry to hear about your wife.

As Patricia said, it's highly unlikely that they just pretended to give her chemo.

I had six weeks of chemotherapy last fall, and I never lost my hair, either. I was getting an infusion of one drug once a week, and had a portable infusion machine giving me a steady drip of another one 24 hours every day.

I could tell from the many side effects I had that I was definitely getting chemo, with or without the hair loss.
