You know how I feel about anyone trying to make Japan a boogyman....... The one person he uses to bolster his opinion, (Yukio Mishima), was arguably the most ardent supporter of Japanese nationalism (the last Samuri?). While his writings attracted much attention in Japan, most of his support came from the Yakusa who dream of the good ole days before WW2....
If Japan does change its constitution in order to expand its military it will only be in proportion to the neighboring threats of China and N.Korea and who could blame them for that.

You'd think that hatred China feels towards Japan would have faded after WW2 ended but Chinas leaders have kept anti-Japanese sentiment alive and well.... I asked a Chinese engineer (first generation in the US) what her countrymen felt about Japan..... she told me in no uncertain terms that, "the majority would like to see Japan turned into a slag heap".

Crap, work calls.......
