Some of them where called crazy by Stalin's henchmen, as a justification for shutting them away. Other times they didn't even bother with justification.

I don't think even Stalin and his henchmen actually considered them crazy, except maybe in the sense where crazy is used to mean foolish, as in "your crazy to do that". I do believe it likely that Stalin's henchmen did consider any opposition to be foolish, because they knew the likely consequences of opposition.

Outside of Stalin's regime few would call opposition to him crazy, and most of those that did where on the left.

If your trying to imply that I'm like Stalin (or rough_cut_gemstone or Bush is, its unclear from the context of your post), then while I wouldn't actually call you crazy, at least not in the formal medical/physiological sense. You would be making a rather ridiculous statement. One that would either show belligerence combined with contempt for truth, or rather irrational thinking.
