Air is for mobile. Video/TV will universally come from Internet since it is so easy to start broadcasting (than airing), so easy to control, much more effective in targeted advertising, ... and all the contents currently airing will be delivered through Internet. Video consumes thousands times more bandwidth than regular web pages. You only needs at most 100Mbps for access (or the last/first mile), which will be satisfied by either cable (DOCSIS 3), fiber, or even BPL, or VDSL, ... but the longhaul/backbone will soon become the bottleneck. Level3 is the largest underground dark fiber owner in the world. They are also now zeroing in on CDN (Content Delivery Network) if you read their well-documented recent Annual Report Supplement booklet "Making Sense of the Content (R)evolution", which put LVLT in direct competing with AKAM.
