Steve, where do you see the battle going between 56K and the xDSL stuff? Is xDSL a practical option within the next two years, or will people be arguing over which 56k method they will be using?

In my general area, @HOME is offering 1.5m download, 128k upload, on cable. Unfortunately, @HOME is owned by TCI who I have learned to hate, and the service is not yet available in my home town, Lafayette, CA.

I am still looking for a practical high-speed option. There is a service by satellite which offers up to 400kbs down, dial-up modem for uploads. Too kludgy, too slow. I'm staying with ISDN until there is a 1.5m service available to the home.
