I'm sure you're suspicions about this particular case are right. If it were MY 60 grand in a bag, you can be damn sure I be right there gettin' my bucks.

The thing I read about drug residue made alot of sense though.
Think about all the different bills rolled up and stuck up someones nose.
Now take that same money and put it back in a wallet with other money. Now take it to the bank.
Shuffle it all together in a big heap at a bank, casino, etc. in those counting machines.
Residue gets all over the machine.
Machine transfers it to other bills...........
Well, you see my point.

Evidently the residue sticks VERY easily to the fibers in the money and then is just as easily transferred to any other money that touchs it.
Doesn't take to long and it spreads like wildfire. Like a virus.
Sure, it might be VERY miniscule, but still easily found using todays forensic methods.
