The irony is the GOP establishment is run by gays. Just look at the White House staffers, Karl Rove, Mehlman, some of their talking heads. Are they GAY or what? And here's another irony. They carp about "don't ask, don't tell" but I sat next to a gay guy on a flight recently and he told me he was a veteran. I asked him about it and he said all the military offices are run by gays. The non-combatant clerk jobs. And they have their own shadow world.

Of course, joining any all or heavily male establishment has already attracted gays. Look at Catholic priests and the boy scouts.
