Me neither. What I like about Intel not owning a company jet or having reserved parking spaces etc. is that these are a sign of superiority by position not performance. Also, they can lead to a form of corporate arrogance.

I believe that it is arrogance (ala IBM) that leads to the complacency you mentioned in your excellent piece on Intel that leads to a company's downfall.

I also particularly like Barrett's comment that, "When a company becomes invincible, a replacement technology will come along. Nature doesn't let that go on forever." Now that's intellectual humility.
