I think America was too difficult with Carter. maybe he was the wrong person at the wrong time in America when all we needed was Ronald Reagan. but then again, in the '80s, Reagan & Bush1 with all their dalliances in Iraq & Afghanistan, may have contributed to the economic/ militarily problematic issues of today's mid- East (& America). just think, the challenged Bush2 had/ has to deal with all this sht & he has not a clue other than watch the world go to sht on his helm (sort of like a republican social disease in it's advancing stages). maybe Barry Goldwater was the man for the times back then. since Barry left the forum, the republicans have gone to sht & this country, in it's 5 min attention span (it's stupid ignorance), proudly rests on it's past laurels, fed pablum sht by the likes of Fox News..'blue skies everywhere'...now ain't all that great! with the US$ under siege (out bound), the world & we metals investors, will do well with this transformed wealth only if osama & bush don't do us in.
