Hiram, I wrote the first article on LMDS in ASAP a couple years ago, focusing on Bernie Bossard and Cellular Vision which at that time was using analog FM--as I said, a major mistake. The technical problems you site are all manageable. Error correction and focussed smart antennas can overcome the H20 problem. Why would you need space on a satellite tower? This is low power, point to point technology which can function with very small cells. Why millions? I know an ISP that is doing it for thousands.
