The Wegman report on Mann's statistics was done by a group of statisticians from prestigious institutions with outstanding credentials:

Dr. WEGMAN assembled a committee of statisticians, including Dr. David Scott of Rice University and Dr. Yasmin Said of The Johns Hopkins University. Also contributing were Denise Reeves of MITRE Corp. and John T. Rigsby of the Naval Surface Warfare Center.

Now I know you global warming guys are eager to get people to disregard the Wegman report as its pretty devastating, but don't you think a really serious attack on the Wegman report should amount to more than an email by a physics professor? That is only going to impress the true believers. If the Wegman report was really shoddy (and that's very hard to believe) why haven't the global warming crowd gotten a group of their own statisticians to say so? We all know they would if they could.
