Yeah, that is why almost 70 percent of Americans are against the war. Because the casualties are "so low". Yeah, right.

And that is also why so many College Republicans are flocking to enlist.

And let's not forget that "casualties" also includes the injured. According to the DoD's own numbers, that is over 25,000 i.e. about a sixth of the size of the original invading army.
