Oh boy.

Just a couple of comments. It ain't easy to run good trials. One can run a "quality" small, open label, non-placebo phase 2 but why? One reason is to save a couple of bucks. If it is small, and open label, and non-placebo controlled, is it really a phase 2? Or are some of these companies going from a iffy phase 1b straight into a phase 3 program? That's like going from the swimming pool to the english channel in one jump. Then there is the whole question about management intent, conscious or subconscious. What is management trying to accomplish?

Hindsight is 20/20 but iffy trial + iffy management + iffy "market" response = ????? The last one is a little interesting. We all have a tendency to dismiss market response. I like everyone else like to find the hidden gem. But if I find the same lotto ticket on the ground in the middle of times square everyday for months, I try to force myself to think a little about that. If it is not hidden, how likely is it to be a gem/the winning ticket?
