Here we go, let's push some hot buttons--I persist in my belief that had Gore been allowed to win the presidency he'd won, 9/11 wouldn't have happened.

Lots of folks have forgotten Bush's threatened boycott of the 2001 summer world conference against racism, a boycott rooted from the Bush Administration's Israeli-Palestinian policy. Bush's threatened boycott inflamed Muslims far and wide. I think Gore would have dealt with this very differently. For example, I think Gore would have developed a comprehensive policy for the Mid-East, one that didn't involved raping as much oil as possible from out of the region.

Also, but a more competent Gore Administration would have better understood the implications of OBL's pre-9/11 threat to strike the US. While on one of his many Crawford vacations, Bush ignored the heads-up he got on this.
