If you are AMGN or JNJ, why not simply take out ANX now? The risk/reward ratio seems quite favorable. At worst they protect their Epogen/Procrit franchise, and best case, they hit a homerun and get a leg up on the other with a disruptive technology?? How does ANX prevent a hostile take-over with less than 30% insider/institutional ownership??
