If you followed my explanation of EM very well, then you should cut back on the Jim Beam and recreational psycho-farmasuiticals.

Time domain methods pulse current into the ground, wait and read later and later 'time windows' which they say corresponds to lower and lower frequencies and deeper and deeper penetration. Theory is great. In practice it reacts to some sulfide and many faults and BIF. I don't like it as it produces many many anomalies and does not react positively to sulfides, while rejecting other sources. It has no magnetic rejection for instance like AM methods such as the CDN aero had with its in phase and out of phase channels. It has this psuedo-depth penetration aspect, like IP.

Company blurb:

THE exploration-equipment award for 2005 was won by Geotech Ltd's Versatile Time Domain Electro-Magnetics (VTEM) system, which can scan, analyse and map for base metals, uranium and diamonds to a depth of 500m.

The unique aerodynamic design is coupled to a programmable
high-power transmitter. This means that geologists can map to depths previously only achieved with ground surveys, with accuracies good enough to target drilling programmes - all
from the convenience of a conventional helicopter.

Geotech offers full-service airborne geophysical surveys worldwide, mainly to clients in the mining and mineral exploration industries.

The large dipole-moment VTEM system is the cornerstone of the company's business.
