It is more accurate to state, "YES, this number may be meaningless if 5 SKUs really comprise 90% of the market and 150 SKUs comprise only 10% of the market."

If 90% of customers were only purchasing 5 individual models, then, yes, SKU quantity would be meaningless. But that isn't the case. Actually, I don't have the numbers to prove that people are buying more than 5 models. But I look at the plethora of models on desktops and server rooms of clients I visit, and I have to conclude that people are buying more than just 5 models. I'd be happy to admit I'm wrong if you can show that only 5 models really predominate the market. Otherwise, there is a flaw in your assertion that SKUs don't count.
