A little story this time about nature; recently on a calm evening I was out in my yard and was startled by the sounds of birds chirping furiously in a neighbors tree, I walked to another vantage point to see if I could identify the noise; I couldnt actually see the commotion makers but I did glimpse a Red tailed Hawk which is a primary predator in these parts.

The Hawk was visible and seemed alarmed, in but a minute or so, a hundred or more new birds flew into the big oak raising the sound to that of an orchestra. I call them an orchestra because these birds were of a wide range of specie, yet here they were responding to a distress call of a nest under the threat of predation.

The noise and clamor went on for many minutes before the Hawk said, oppps bit off more than I wanted, and took off, with the whole united flock in hot pursuit.

it was an amazing display, that so many completely unrelated species responded to the alarm, and in such a short period of time they arrived prepared to do battle.

The story reminds one of the connection between Investors and traders, especially the broker dealer trading departments..where...predation and threat are thier stock in trade. It is only the conviction of unrelated investors and thier previous positions, that keep the predators in check.

lesson; communication takes many forms and is shared not only by man, but by birds as well.

Allowing us to write the epitaph for the babel myth as evolution, chir ping.
