EC has a good article on his mining colesterol thread that points out that we are NOT living longer; at least our life expectancy at 60 is no more, and a bit less, than a man of 60 in 1900. Averages are up, but that is because we don't lose the young to disease, or the women to birth deaths. Cancer and heart disease are up significantly. Accidents and pathogenic born disease related deaths are down. You should probably do a little more reading...or at least cut your afternoon meal break down to just a few minutes rather than the two hours you are evidently in the habit of taking....
