The GOP needs to stop supporting Bush's stupid-stupid wrong-headed hopeless occupation of Iraq and start scaling down-down-down. Al Qaida only grows stronger the longer we are there, and the Iraqi people want us out. The majority of Iraqis think it's just fine to kill US troops, and for the most part we have no clue as to what those people are really all about. It's like Vietnam all over again, just a huge, tragic, evil waste, and all based on a pack of lies to begin with. Yesterday Bush was out pulling out the same old lie again, that Iraq has something to do with 9-11. It didn't. It never had anything to do with it. Nor fighting terrorism. In fact it has helped terrorists immensely.
