Something has happened to me this last month that I am going to pass along here for what it's worth. Anecdotal, but has benefited me.
I ran across an article at "Future Pundit" six weeks ago about a new study coming out that showed enormous cancer-preventing benefits from taking Vitamin D. futurepundit.com
Seems the only way it gets into the system is though softgels, the dry pills don't absorb. This led me to a "Heart Scan" blog by a cardiologist who says Heart Scans are a worthwhile procedure, and who recommended taking large doses of Fish Oil to help bring down plaque buildup. heartscanblog.blogspot.com
The articles made sense to me, and I figured, "the two items are low priced, and what would it hurt?" So I bought a bottle of Kirkland Fish Oil softgels from Costco for about $10, and a bottle of Carlson Vitamin D 2000 IU softgels, 120 to the bottle, online from "Vitamin Shoppe" for $7 plus $5 shipping. Incidentally, from what I have read, "Fish oil is "Fish Oil," and it does not contain any mercury.
I have been taking 3 of the Fish Oil and 1 of the D's daily for about 4 weeks. I noticed this last week that my back pain when dancing had really dropped off to nothing. And when I got up this morning, NO STIFFNESS! For the first time in years.
Now this may be a total coincidence, but I googled "fish oil/back pain" and "vitamin D/back pain" and found there are a lot of articles out there connecting the two. It's made a believer out of me. |
