When I saw the headline, at first I thought it was overblown, and it would really only be a removal of some subsidy, or something along those lines, but this isn't anything like that, and the headline is appropriate.

$50,000 penalties, layers of bureaucracy. Weak justification - (AS pointed out by "A National Academy of Sciences report released earlier this month concludes that wind turbines caused less than 0.003% of human-cause bird mortality -- one thousand times lower than bird mortality associated with house cats.")

I can't actually say "intrusive government at its worst" (I started to but quickly thought better of it), because intrusive government at its worst is REALLY bad, much worse than this. But it is stupid.
