I would suggest that weather right or wrong the points we discussing are of less relevance than the fact that they are being discusses ,even civlily.
In a democracy, is not the best way to avoid injustices continual debate?
As long as the topic of torture remains in the public eye those who would use torture will use it cautiously.....ditto confinement of alleged enemy combattents.
The actions of a democratic government should alway be open to scrutiny.
