I think "we were there first" arguments are really great for starting wars. The ME and Israel are really good examples. There really needs to be an enforced international statute of limitations on such claims. EVERYBODY is sitting on what was once somebody else's land. But, hey, if the MEers insists on using this argument against Israel. I fail to see the injustice in turning it around and using it on them.

Paul (St. Paul to Christians), lived in Ephesus on the SW Meditteranean coast of Turkey for many years. He wrote "Letters to the Ephesians" while there. Mary, mother of Jesus, is supposed to have lived out the last years of her life and died there. Ephesus is supposed to be the best-preserved Roman ruins in the world.
