Harris Stratex Operating Chief Resigns Friday May 25, 10:28 am ET Harris Stratex Chief Operating Officer Steps Down, Effective June 7 RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. (AP) -- Wireless network services provider Harris Stratex Networks Inc. said Friday that chief operating officer Thomas Waechter has resigned, effective June 7. Waechter was chief executive of Stratex Networks, which combined with Melbourne, Fla.-based Harris Corp.'s Microwave Communication Division to form Harris Stratex in January this year. The company does not plan to replace Waechter, but will instead hire a head of international sales. Shares of Harris Stratex rose 1 cent to $15.70 in morning trading Friday.
