Dale; I responded to John first as I was trying to catch him going out the door. No man is an island. I agree. I can't believe I'm defending Libertarians and surely there must be someone with better knowledge of this than I am, but again I will quote the from the second sentence. ......provided they allow others the same liberty and avoid abusing their liberty...... Would that not mean you could smoke dope in your own home - but not drive? If as a guiding principle we have to be sure we "avoid abusing" others liberties, might we not be better off than we are today? steve
