I think the Neocons should all probably be in jail (and I am using a lot of restraint in describing what I really think should be done to them).

Personally, I come down heavily on the side of non-intervention, but think the alternative (the left) has an extremely naive perspective on the world and would cause other sorts of extreme long term damage if they were in power.

I think there's a balance between total non intervention, thinking everyone is intrinsically good, thinking everyone can be negotiated with in good faith etc... and recognizing that in this snapshot in time much of the world is depending on us to secure the world's energy supply, some people actually do hate us and our values for irrational reasons and would view any withdrawal and negotiation as an opportunity to advance an agenda that is in opposition to our interests.

We are in a huge and unnecessary mess now. I realize that.

I'm also not smart enough to find the balance I am talking about. I'm just smart enough to know that most of the Neocons are either semi-retarded or have a borderline treasonous motivation and most of the democrats are living in La La land.
