Ice, I've never seen so much hand wringing over a such a simple
problem. So the programmers left the first two digits out in the
year part of the date. You can simply instruct every computer
to read 00 as 2000 from now on. That will inconvenience a few
who were born in 1900 - but not many. You deal with those cases
one-on-one.

For crying out loud - we sent a man to the moon almost 30 years ago!
