George thanks for your input.I think that xDSL has equipment in the central office connected to the last mile. The voice is split off at the co...this WAS my worry as the ISP will no longer need these 56k modem banks because the co sends to the isp via a multiplexed high bandwidth pipe....In browsing the ascend site it looks like they have quite a few xdsl products and that the TNT can somehow be populated with xdsl modems for use in the co. Does anyone know anything about ascends xDSL products? George the cable modem solution is really picking up steam with athm and msft getting involved this really could happen fast The one thing to remember is it is NOT A CAN WE DO IT ISSUE SO IF THE DEMAND IS THERE ($$$$) IT CAN HAPPEN PDQ.Anyone who uses the internet alot knows how nice it would be to have dedicated fast bullit proof connection I am going to see who the equipment providers are on the cable modem side and see where ascend fits in.Anyone an expert on this? Does ascend have any equipment for the cable modem industry? Charlie
