Another point worth making is the difference between a single point solution -- which AMD may have in the K6 -- and a complete product line, including notebook chips, desktop chips, server chips, SMP chips and 3-5 year roadmap that makes sense and provides future continuity across the entire product line. This is what AMD and Cyrix are clearly lacking, discussions about the K-6 not withstanding.
