Several thoughts:

Winter of '05-'06 saw the coal piles get quite small. This happened due to the unrelated events of railroad outage and KatRita favoring coal for electric more heavily than normal. Coal piles are back to normal. This is bearish.

I think that the electrical generation is such that the peakers will be running from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM from July 1 through August 31 with only normal heat. This is just from my overall sense of: 1) demand concentration and NYBYism in high population density areas, 2) coal/nuke built out, and 3) all the press articles having talked about nothing but new NG starts and coal plant cancellations for the last two years.
