A nearby Texaco was $3.29 yesterday. I paid $3.23 a couple days ago. I read an interesting article yesterday suggesting we are nearing a "peak oil" condition. This is where the ability to drill, produce and refine fuel cannot keep up with demand. The outlook is grim when that happens, including the collapse of some governments/nations. Wars and all that. Some say that is what we can expect in another 10 years, give or take. This in spite of the fact they are continually developing new ways to extract oil from fields previously thought to have been pumped out. We urgently need to develop alternative fuels... and corn ain't gonna be the answer.
