The Nazies helped Eugenics die more then anybody. Eugenics is on it's way for a comeback. You have to be careful how the word is used. Whether you're talking about the definition or talking about how it was applied in the past. We consider it quite acceptable for parents to take DNA tests and if they discover they are likely to produce a child with some malady, they can decline to have a child through birth control. That is an application of eugenics that we find acceptable. As science develops the ability to tweak the DNA of an egg/sperm combo in some petri dish we'll have some new applications of eugenics that society will find acceptable. It's just that everyone will avoid using the word eugenics. jttmab
