The problem with "hot biotech money" is that it will flee as fast as it comes, and just as unpredictably. A rise in AFFX is going to have to be justified by new contracts and increased sales, if not earnings. We aren't seeing very much in the way of news to correspond with the recent appreciation in the price of the stock. Maybe we are already seeing "hot biotech money" in AFFX. GeneChips may become a very important technology. You pay your money and take your chances.
