Bushies have made Venezuela much worse than it had to be. We honest centrist-progressives are firmly opposed to crackdowns on free press and civil liberties. We oppose wannabe dictators like Chavez. We oppose any government that thinks it cannot be held accountable to its people.

But don't forget who else has been notorious for such things, in our own country, Bush + Cheney. If they had their way they'd rule this country without legal dissent, without a free press and be fueled by oil money just the way Chavez is. Not as much diference between Chavez and Bush as you think.
