NPR had a report on Churchill tonight. Rather than focus on his plagiarism and research misconduct, the focus was on the "Little Eichmann" comments. Thrust of the story was that it was the comments are what focused attention on him and resulted in the current disciplinary recommendations. Oh. I see. It's ok that he is a hack and a plagiariser. It's a right wing problem because he got out of line after 9/11, and that's what caused people to get after him. Ask me, the guy isn't qualified to be a greeter at WalMart, much less a tenured professor at a major university.
